King Solomon High School Supports Chai

King Solomon High School, in Essex, has chosen Chai Cancer Care as their Charity of the Year.

Since September they have run a series of exciting and successful fundraising events a Half Term Concert; a sponsored walk; sponsored silence; non-uniform days and each Friday the Sixth Form pay to dress casually.

There are many more activities planned and in March ?Only Girls Allowed? a fashion show and dance extraordinaire will be taking place.

In May the school will be running KS Factor to discover the hidden talents of some of the pupils, all the parents will be attending and a raffle will be taking place. The pupils have also been selling the Chai Cancer Care Together We Can Cook cookbook and trolley coin key rings.

Naomi-Carmel Brown, Head of year 7 and Coordinator of Tzedakah projects said:?At King Solomon we strongly believe in promoting Tzedakah and take great pride in seeing this demonstrated by our students. We value our relationship with Chai because it is such a worthy cause, runs a local service and helps to promote our ethos of Tzedakah?.

The children?s efforts so far have raised an impressive ?2,566.
