More than 60 pieces of art were exhibited on Sunday 11th October at Chai’s Flagship Centre in Hendon. The impressive works were created by Chai clients who all attend the Chai Art Workshop Group. 160 guests enjoyed a drinks and sushi reception and were able to meet many of the artists personally and purchase their work.

The event, generously hosted by Lady Pamela Kalms, and organised by Chai Art Co-ordinator Linda Sharpe and Chai Volunteer, Jane Jacobs, raised the wonderful amount of £4,135 which will be used to fund The Chai Art Workshop Group.

The Group is open to everyone regardless of experience or lack of it! Everyone works at their own pace so there is absolutely no pressure or added stress. The Art Workshop enables Chai’s clients to relax and enjoy the sheer pleasure of putting paint onto paper.

Linda Sharpe, said:The Chai Art Exhibition was born out of a desire to showcase the many talents from the Chai Art Workshop Group. Since the day we decided to do this, the commitment, excitement and hard work has been unbelievable and I know that everyone who has contributed is as proud as I am of how wonderful the event has been.”
