On Sunday 17th June, over 70 people attended Gabby Niman’s ‘Live in Concert’ @ 96 Shenley. The event, raised over £1,000 which will be split between Chai and The Lee Spark NF Foundation.

Following her performance, Gabby said: “I decided to raise money for Chai Cancer Care as very sadly my grandmother died from cancer a few years ago and I saw what she went through. I wanted to do something which would help make a difference to others and in her memory at the same time. I sang and played piano for 4 of my own original songs, and other songs including ‘This is Me’ from the Greatest Showman, ‘what a wonderful world’, ‘Clown’ by Emily Sandé, ‘I’m not that girl’ from Wicked and ‘audition song’ from La La Land. I also sang with my choir (Shirei Ohr Ladies Choir). We sang ‘Seasons of Love’ from the musical Rent, ‘Lean on Me’ and ‘Adon Olam’.

I also had three of my four children performing. My son Samuel played a beautiful piece on the piano, my other son Rafi wowed the audience with a Rubik’s cube performance, and my daughter Levana sang beautifully ‘How far I’ll go’ from Moana.

The feedback from people was very positive (including from the mayor of Borehamwood), with lots of people asking when the next concert will be.”
