On Wednesday 11th May, Chai’s flagship centre in Hendon was full to capacity with over 70 avid bridge players enjoying a day of Bridge. The event, hosted by the ‘Glasgow Girls in London’ committee - Louise Kramer, Linda Reich, Linda Goldberg, Louise Naftalin, Lynda Rapport, Barbara Kay and Frances Bloom, has so far raised an impressive £4,000 which will be split equally between the Chai Glasgow service and the Glasgow charities supported by the Glasgow Girls in London.

Allan Kay expertly directed the Bridge session. After an enjoyable afternoon, Roz Fine and Barbara Fenton were crowned the North-South winners and Rosamund and Paul Balcombe were crowned the East-West winners.

Following the event, Glasgow Girls in London committee member, Louise Kramer said, “This was our second Bridge Lunch in aid of Chai and the other charities we support in Glasgow and once again it was incredible to have so many people supporting us.  Everybody was so impressed so we look forward to doing it all again next year!”

Chai’s Chairman, Louise Hager said, “We are so grateful to the Glasgow Girls for organising another superb event. For many guests at the event, it was an opportunity to see the services that Chai provides which make such a difference to people’s lives.”
