On Sunday the 9th of May 2010, Chai launched a new service in Glasgow in patrnership with Jewish Care Scotland. The launch also featured a Breast Awareness Event where professor Micahel Baum, gave an expert lecture on "The history of Breat Cancer as illustrated by fine art."

Elaine Kerr, Chief Executive of Chai Cancer Care commented:

"We are delighted that we are now able to provide professional, confidential and face to face services to the Glasgow community. We have received a warm welcome in Glasgow, and are grateful to Jewish care Scotland for their unwavering support and partnership which brings this service to the community."

Ethne Woldman, Chief Executive of Jewish Care Scotland commented:

"Sadly, cancer touches most families at some time and having access to skilled professionals who offer support is important, both for the individual involved and often the wider family. The Directors of  Jewish Care Scotland and the Jewish BlindSociety Scotland had no hesitation in offereing accomodation for Chai's counsellors and therapists, whose skills  ans support will be on hand in times of crisis."

The event was a complete sucess and really helped to raise Chai's profile within the community, letting them know that Chai can now bring the help and support to them that it has brought to so many others.
