Shabbaton Choir in Concert raises £600 for Chai

On Sunday 5th March the Shabbaton Choir brought together the beauty of music and the sanctity of prayer at a concert at the United Hebrew Congregation in Leeds.

The event, organised by Alan Benstock, Val Berwin, Adele Manning and Andrew Ullman, raised over £600 for Chai’s specialised cancer support services. Prior to the performance, Stephen Muir, Senior Lecturer in Music at Leeds University spoke.

The choir, who have been heard in synagogue services and concerts all over the world since 1991 performed an array of songs including, L’Cha Dodi, Ein Keloheinu and an Adon Olam medley.                  

Following the concert, Adele, said: “The choir were magnificent and the event was a huge success!”
