6 JFS Hospitality and Catering BTEC students planned, organised and produced a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired, cake and hot chocolate lunch on Thursday 23rd March at JFS. The event, entitled ‘Hospitality and the Chocolate Factory’ and hosted by Matty Caplin (18), Olivia Curwen (18), Ari Grossman (18), Erika Moss (18), Ben Orenstein (18) and Gabriella Sugarman (18), raised an incredible £500 for Chai's specialised cancer support services.

Throughout their lunch break, these enthusiastic students served hot chocolate and a variety of delicious cakes to hungry staff and 6th formers who had to purchase a ‘Golden Ticket’ to enter.

Following the event, Ben said: “The event went really well! We chose to raise money for Chai Cancer Care in memory of one of our teachers, Mr Angus, who sadly passed away from cancer recently.”
