Personal motivation was behind Team Chai’s; Richard Stephens, Gideon Kay, Jonny Goldberg, Alon Stock and Chai Physiotherapist, Graham Silas’ Prudential Ride London Challenge.

On Sunday 30th July, the 5 veteran cycle challengers completed the 100 miles from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to The Mall in an impressive 6 hours and raised £5,500 for Chai.

Following the challenge, Graham, said: “Ride London was an incredible event, especially the experience of cycling through London and Surrey on traffic free roads!

We unanimously chose to raise money for Chai as we all have an individual connection to this amazing charity, be it through our own personal work or through our friends and relatives who have been through their doors and received the incredible support that just isn’t available anywhere else. The work that Chai does, supporting cancer patients and their relatives is so important and as a Jewish community we are so fortunate to have it.”

Louise Hager, Chai’s Chairman, said: “I’d like to congratulate and thank our dedicated ‘Team Chai’ for taking on this challenge. The £5,500 raised will go towards purchasing new equipment for the gym at Chai’s flagship centre in Hendon. Guided by our team of Physiotherapists, our clients can build up their mobility and strength following surgery and treatment.”
