Charity Cinema Evening held by Circle of 8 Committee in aid of Chai Cancer Care Raising £2,015The Circle of Eight is a small committee of mums, founded in 2004 with the sole intention of raising money for charities who don't necessarily have the profile or resources to attract outside support and for charities that particularly touch our hearts. The Committee kindly nominated Chai as their chosen charity for a touching screening of My Sister's Keeper held at the Reel Cinema in Shenley. The film is a movie adaptation of Jodi Picoult's award winning and bestselling novel "My Sister's Keeper". Starring Cameron Diaz, Jason Patric, Alec Baldwin and Abigail Breslin, My Sister's Keeper is the heart-warming story of Anna, a 13-year-old girl who was conceived by IVF in order to be a genetic match for her older sister, Kate, who has battled leukaemia since childhood. The evening was an immediate sell out with 150 people coming along to see the screening and learn more about Chai. Chai would like to thank all members of the Committee - Tracy Berkoff, Debra Davidson, Jo Elman, Ingrid Goodman, Paula Lent, Ruth Sacks, Sara Shonn, Simone Simon & Julie Tucker
