Ladies Lunch with Guest Speaker Mary Portas, Queen of Shops

Chai Cancer Care held its first major fundraising Ladies Lunch with guest speaker Mary Portas, Queen of Shops.

143 people attended the event, hosted at the spectacular home of Karen & Andrew Harris. Guests received generous gift bags with all goods donated, notably from Stitch London and Heathcote & Ivory.

The event raised £60,000 which will go towards securing the provision of much needed services for cancer patients, their friends and families.

Louise Hager, Chairman said:

"We are delighted to have raised such a significant amount at our first Ladies Lunch fundraising event, especially in this hard financial climate. We are most grateful to Karen & Andrew Harris for opening their home and their hearts to Chai".
