Children, Teenage and Family Service

Over the past year, we have seen a significant increase in the number of young parents diagnosed with cancer. The impact of this can be overwhelming, especially for the children. With this increase in mind, we have prioritised the need to expand and develop our Children, Teenage and Family Services.

These services focus on therapies, including play, music and art therapy, for children and teenagers directly affected by a cancer diagnosis in their family. Therapists at Chai are specially trained and qualified to support children from the age of two. Our specialist councellors support children and teenagers, allowing them to express their feelings in a safe environment at a time of great emotional upheaval.

The newly refurbished building on our North London site has a dedicated Teenage Recreational Centre which is used specifically for individual and group sessions. This centre is designed to bring young people in similar situations together. Our highly experienced therapist will build relationships of trust and mutual respect.
