Last Thursday evening 35 ladies were treated an exclusive Challah braiding workshop led by legal eagle turned Challah Mummy, Allegra Benitah at Chai’s Flagship Centre in Hendon. If this wasn’t enough, the evening also included an innovative and thought provoking Q&A with avid foodie and registered Nutritionist, Jenna Hope. The event, entitled ‘The Art of Well-being’ was hosted by the Young Chai Committee and raised more than £500 for Chai’s vital services.

Both Allegra & Jenna have appeared on This Morning, Sky News and ITV News, have been publicised in Women’s Health and Cosmopolitan.

Throughout the evening each person learnt how to roll, twist and knead their challah dough into a beautiful design to adorn their Shabbos tables. Guests were then invited to an interactive presentation led by Jenna, where topics such as getting a better night’s sleep, skin health and the effects of sugar and caffeine intake, were discussed.

Following the event Allegra said: "I was thrilled to be invited to Young Chai to lead a braiding workshop. It was wonderful to show a fabulous group of ladies how to braid their own Cinnamon Star Tear and Share Challah which they could take home to enjoy with their families and friends on Shabbat.  It's an honour for me to support this fantastic organisation."

Jenna said: “It was such a lovely way to get women together baking and learning more about nutrition and overall well-being. It was a really open and inclusive evening. The perfect way to enjoy yourself after a day’s work! I was amazed by Chai’s incredible centre.”
