Heidi Kraines Haircut in aid of Chai

Read Heidi’s story in her own words below:

“It took us over a year and a half to grow our hair to the required length but we finally got here and at last we have cut our hair!

It has been an interesting journey which was our way of thinking about other people’s suffering. Collectively, we donated 36” of hair to Zichron Menachem, a children’s charity in Israel who make wigs for their cancer patients under the age of 25.

Zichron Menachem along with Chai Cancer Care and Cancer Research UK are three charities that rely on donations to do amazing work for people suffering from cancer, including supporting their families. Chai Cancer Care was an invaluable support to all of our family when we lost our dear sister in law, mother and aunt, Nikki Millan. She was such a beautiful and selfless woman who would have been 50 this year. We invited our family and many of Nikki’s close friends to witness this special occasion. It was a beautiful ceremony and a time to remember Nikki and the special times we shared together.

Thank you to everyone who has been so generous in helping us to raise nearly £4000 for our three chosen charities.

Nikki would be so proud!”
